vestigo (Latin) — to track, to follow the trail of. A real-time visual anchor that tracks your vehicle's motion, giving your inner ear the reference it needs.
What it does
Vestigo displays a 3D vehicle from a trailing camera perspective, moving in real-time with your device's motion sensors. It gives your vestibular system the visual cues it loses when you can't see out the window — helping reduce vertigo and motion sickness during travel.
How it works
- Uses gyroscope, accelerometer, and magnetometer at 60Hz for smooth, accurate motion tracking
- Calibrates to any phone orientation — hold it however is comfortable
- Shows a detailed 3D aircraft, car, or train from a fixed tailcam view
- Pitch, roll, and yaw mapped to realistic ranges so the vehicle moves naturally
- Air streaks and turbulence effects add visceral motion feedback
- Automatic vehicle detection when driving
Vehicle modes
- Plane — Airbus A220-300 with wing-tip vortices and turbulence response
- Car — Smooth road motion with automotive activity detection
- Train — Rail motion with gentle lateral sway
Requirements
iOS 17 or later. iPhone and iPad. Requires a physical device (motion sensors don't work in the simulator).
Privacy
Vestigo processes all sensor data on-device. Location is only used for weather-matched sky conditions and is never stored or transmitted. No analytics, no tracking.
